Description
For over two decades, this excellent resource has covered all the developments at the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) and its predecessor board. It provides expert commentary on more than 40 years of Board decisions and explains key statutory and jurisprudential changes over that same period. Inside you'll find:
  • Valuable annotations for all of the board's published decisions and hundreds of court decisions, both reported and unreported
  • Insightful commentary on, and extensive cross-references between, the Canada Labour Code sections dealing with the Board's jurisdiction over industrial relations and occupational health and safety
  • A special section on the Board's regulations including annotations, commentary and cross-references to previous regulations
Also included is a unique and valuable chapter on Practice Issues that arise during CIRB hearings including adjournments, costs, objections and the awarding of interest. Consult a growing section on 'Forms' which contains all new Forms and Information Circulars as they are published by the CIRB.
