Michael G. Cochrane, LL.B., is a partner at Ricketts Harris LLP in Toronto where his practice includes civil litigation, class actions, multi-party negotiations and mediations, and family and public policy consulting. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School where he teaches a first year course in Public Law and is a Lecturer in Environmental Law at Ryerson University. Mr. Cochrane is one of the Editors-in-Chief of the Annual Review of Civil Litigation 2003 (Carswell). He is also the author of numerous texts on topics ranging from family law, class actions and alternate dispute resolution.

He hosted BNN's Strictly Legal for three successful seasons, has appeared as a legal expert on numerous television and radio programs and is the author of numerous publications including Strictly Legal: Things You Absolutely Need to Know About Canadian Law and Surviving Your Divorce: A Guide to Canadian Family Law. In addition to being trained in Negotiation and Advanced Negotiation at Harvard Law School, Mr. Cochrane was a Fellow at the National Association of Attorneys General in Washington D.C
