Jeffrey M. Andrew, LL.B, practises with the firm Cavalluzzo Hayes Shilton McIntyre & Cornish LLP in Toronto. He has extensive experience advising unions and practises before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the civil and appellate courts, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, at arbitration hearings and inquests. He also practises in the fields of privacy and wrongful dismissal and is a Past Chair of the Labour and Employment Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association.

Mr. Andrew also deals extensively with the accommodation of the disabled in the workplace. He has been counsel in a number of leading cases in the field of workplace drug and alcohol testing including pro bono counsel for the complainant and the intervenor, Canadian Civil Liberties Association in the Entrop v. Imperial Oil decision which recognized alcoholism and other forms of substance abuse as a handicap.

He was also counsel in the Sarnia Cranes case where the Ontario Labour Relations Board struck down the employer's alcohol and drug testing policy. Mr. Andrew speaks on and has authored a number of articles about labour relations matters. For many years, he assisted The Honourable George W. Adams with the publication of Canadian Labour Law, Second Edition (Canada Law Book).
