Jane Steinberg has more than 30 years of experience in contentious and non-contentious IP matters, and specializes in trademarks, domain names and anti-counterfeiting. Jane appears before the Federal Court of Canada, provincial courts and the Trade-marks Opposition Board. She has extensive experience in negotiating licenses, conducting IP audits and providing freedom to operate and validity opinions, as well as strategic advice on IP and how to protect the brand. Ms. Steinberg has enjoyed leadership roles within Gowling WLG, including serving as national firm managing partner, external; intellectual property department head (Ottawa); and the national leader of the firm's Life Sciences Industry Group.
