Bradley Limpert practices principally in the areas of intellectual property litigation and technology contracting. He has been involved in litigation, dispute resolution and licensing across a broad range of technologies including pharmaceuticals, industrial equipment, food processing, software, signal processing, telecommunications, and biotechnology. He also provides clients with opinions in relation to the infringement, validity and scope of rights relating to patents, trade secrets, trade-marks, industrial designs, copyright and domain names. Mr. Limpert appears in the Federal Court of Canada and in the Courts of Ontario representing clients in relation to the infringement and validity of rights in patents, copyright and confidential information. Mr. Limpert also advises clients in relation to the commercialization of technology, venture capital finance, and intellectual property strategies. In these areas, his work includes assisting with clinical trial and research agreements, co-development agreements, and other corporate/commercial matters of interest to emerging technology companies. Mr. Limpert has taught patent and trade secret law as an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto. He has also lectured in relation to trade-marks and intellectual property at the Faculty of Law (University of Toronto), the Rotman School of Business (University of Toronto), the Ivey Business School (University of Western Ontario), the University of Windsor, Queen’s University, and Osgoode Hall, Faculty of Law. Mr. Limpert is a frequent speaker on topics such as IP Licensing, IT Agreements, patent law, privacy, and the regulatory oversight of medical devices.
