Frederick F. (Rick) Coburn, M.A., LL.B is a partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP practising environmental law, with an emphasis on environmental aspects of Brownfields development, acquisitions, divestitures, and financing. He also provides advice on project-based environmental approvals, including major construction and energy projects. Mr. Coburn also appears regularly before the Ontario Municipal Board on a wide range of land development matters, including official plan and zoning amendments, and site plan approvals. He has advised on environmental aspects of numerous corporate, commercial and real estate transactions, including the supervision of extensive environmental due diligence projects in connection with mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions.
Gabrielle K. Kramer holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, and is a member of the Ontario bar. She is a partner in the Toronto Office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, where her practice is focused on litigating and managing environmental risks, including through insurance. Ms. Kramer appears at various levels of the Ontario Court system and the Environmental Review Tribunal on a broad range of environmental mandates. Ms. Kramer also advises with respect to the environmental aspects of real estate transactions, corporate acquisitions and due diligence, as well as providing regulatory support to answer, mitigate and avoid environmental charges. Ms. Kramer frequently speaks and writes on current environmental issues.
