Description
Employers are legally responsible to ensure that their premises are safe and that their organization's policies comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. This means that they may be held responsible for workplace policies that do not strictly comply with regulatory requirements. The resulting charges can be costly and disruptive. This CLV Special Report provides a table of concordance for common OHS legal topics, such as training, safe working practices, violence, and harassment for each Canadian jurisdiction. References to relevant OHS Act and/or regulation are provided. New sections include: Regulatory Prevention Structures, Legal Functions of JHSCs.
