About the Author
Paul M. Perell, B.A., LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D., L.S.M., a judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, was appointed to the Bench in May 2005. He is also adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Prior to his appointment, Justice Perell was a partner at WeirFoulds LLP, where he practiced civil litigation and legal research. He was awarded the Ontario Bar Association's Award for Excellence in Real Estate, the James L. Lewtas Professorship in Commercial Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, and the David W. Mundell Medal for excellence in legal writing.
