About the Author
Mark M. Orkin, Q.C., B.A., J.D., LL.M., Ph.D., LSM was called to the Ontario Bar in 1948 and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1963. His practice has been largely in the field of civil litigation, general corporate and commercial law, with particular emphasis on costs and professional conduct issues since 1980. He has served as a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada (1978-79), and was awarded the Law Society Medal in 1988 and the David W. Mundell Medal in 2002. Among his numerous professional activities, he acted as Independent Assessor to the Walkerton Inquiry in 2000-2002.

Mark Orkin is also an experienced lecturer and author of many publications, including Legal Ethics, Legal Ethics, 2nd Edition and The Law of Costs, published by Canada Law Book.
