Bruce Stratton is a founding partner of Dimock Stratton LLP and has practiced exclusively in the field of intellectual property law since his call to the Ontario Bar in 1987. Bruce has spoken and written for legal publications, on topics such as business method patents, software patents, Supreme Court of Canada intellectual property jurisprudence and intellectual property law litigation in Canada. Bruce is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, iTechLaw, the ACM and the Advocates' Society, and a Fellow of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. Mr. Stratton's extensive trial and appellate experience includes appearing in a leading Supreme Court of Canada patent case (Free World Trust v. Electro Santé Inc.), as well acting as trial counsel in many reported patent cases in the Federal Court.
