Ellen E. Mole, LL.B., is a labour arbitrator and mediator, a former vice-chair of the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, and a former vice-chair of the Ontario Public Service Labour Relations Tribunal. She graduated from the University of Toronto Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1983. She has written extensively on employment and labour law issues since that time, and is the co-author of Best Practices: Employment Policies That Work, Best Practices: Human Resources Forms Toolkit, and Develop Your Own Employee Handbook.
Joan A. Bolland, B.A., has more than 20 years’ experience as both a generalist and specialist in Human Resources management in the business and not-for-profit sectors. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Ms. Bolland holds certificates in Personnel and Industrial Relations, and Human Resources Management. She has acted as a consultant to smaller companies and to the Ontario government in areas such as redeployment, pay equity and human resources administration. She retired as Director, Human Resources for The Canadian Red Cross Society, Ontario Division. Currently, Ms. Bolland directs her own Human Resources consulting practice. She is the co-author of several Carswell publications: Develop Your Own Employee Handbook, Best Practices: Employment Policies That Work, and Best Practices: Human Resources Forms Toolkit and author/editor of the chapter on termination in Human Resouces Management in Canada also published by Carswell.
Laurie Blake, B.A., M.A., is a freelance editor with a special interest in health & safety and human resources management issues. She is the co-author of Best Practices: Human Resources Forms Toolkit and CLV Special Report - Functional Abilities Evaluations: Hiring and Maintaining a Healthy Workforce.
