Jim Horvath, Managing Director of ValuQuest Limited, has specialized in business and securities valuations and related intellectual property for more than 35 years. Having completed over 3,000 valuation assignments, including the supervision of large, complex multidiscipline valuation engagements, he has worked in a wide variety of industries and given expert testimony on valuation matters on multiple engagements. Jim also has extensive international experience, having worked on valuations, mergers, and acquisitions in over 60 countries. He has authored several books and numerous articles on valuation, and both in Canada and internationally is a frequent speaker on valuation methods and issues. Currently Managing Director of ValuQuest Limited, Jim was previously Partner with Deloitte & Touche, from 1988 to May 2009, engaged in Business Valuations.

David W. Chodikoff, B.A (Spec. Hons.), M.A., LL.B., a partner at Miller Thomson LLP, specializes in in tax litigation (civil and criminal) and international tax dispute resolution. He spent nearly 16 years as counsel and a Federal Crown prosecutor with the Department of Justice (Canada). He has conducted over 550 cases before the courts in Canada and has nearly 100 reported decisions. Examples of his recent client dispute resolution work include: transfer pricing, tax avoidance, capital vs. income, GST-ITCs, employee vs. independent contractor status, net worth assessments, requirements (domestic and foreign based), fraud, tax evasion, tax insurance, third party penalties and rectification.
