About the Author
Anne Warner La Forest, LL.B (U.N.B.), LL.M. (Cantab.) After working in private practice in Toronto for several years, Anne La Forest joined the Faculty of Law at Dalhousie University in 1991. From 1996 to 2004, she was Dean of the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law. Professor La Forest currently teaches in the areas of property law, international law, comparative law, commercial law, conflict of laws, and feminist jurisprudence. She has written on many different topics including property, extradition law, international law, and labour and employment law. She is a member of the Bars of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario, is a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society and is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the National Judicial Institute.
