About the Author
Martin Rochwerg focuses on Canadian, cross-border and international estate planning involving high net worth individuals, businesses, families, and foundations. He is an academician and governing council member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law; Adjunct Professor and award recipient, estate planning at Osgoode Hall Law School; Fellow of ACTEC; and editor-in-chief of Miller Thomson on Estate Planning, a Thomson Reuters publication. Contributing editor to Trusts in Prime Jurisdictions (2012 and earlier editions); editor-in-chief of: Personal Tax and Estate Planning since 2007; trusts editor of Business Vehicles since 2002; and co-editor of Taxes and Wealth Management since 2011. He served as a Governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation; National Executive member of STEP Canada; Chair of the Trusts and Estates Section of the CBAO; and President of the Toronto Estate Planning Council. Also served as National President of ORT Canada (2011-13).
