Since the previous version of this Annotated Employment Standards Code was finalized in March of 2023, the below legislative amendments have come into force. The annotations to this revised legislation reflect the impact of these updates, as well as recent judicial interpretation.
The Continuing Care Consequential Amendments Regulation, Alta. Reg. 22/2024, amends the definitions of "home care" and "residential care" within the Employment Standards Regulation (AR 14/97). The amendments came into force on April 1, 2024.
