Description
Corporate Law for Ontario Businesses is the ideal resource for lawyers and law clerks who are new to corporate law, or those who require a practical refresher for a general practice. It has also been written as a textbook that can be used for teaching law clerks. The author's approach has been to provide a balance of legal theory and practical application – so you will find caselaw and statutory references in the book, as well as government forms and checklists. All materials have been written in a simple, direct manner, making it easier for students to understand. A unique feature of this resource is that it provides three tools in one – the textbook, the Workbook and the Instructor's Guide. All three tools are invaluable for both legal practitioners and course instructors. While the textbook includes precedent forms and documents, the Workbook gives readers blank precedents to complete using specific scenarios. It also provides review exercises and other resources to ensure that students understand course materials. The Instructor's Guide is a complete and valuable resource for both course instructors and legal practitioners, because it provides completed precedents. For course instructors, the Instructor's Guide also provides answers to all of the exercises in the Workbook, a suggested Critical Path for a 15 week course, approximately 200 multiple choice and short answer test questions, 4 options for course assignments (including a minute book assignment), amongst other teaching tools. This combination of the textbook, Workbook and Instructor's Guide makes it easy for instructors to teach a course on Corporate Law, and easy for law clerks and lawyers to learn from the materials provided. The result is an excellent learning experience for all.
