About the Author
The Late Honourable Mr. Justice Randall Scott Echlin was appointed to the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario in 2003. Before his appointment, he practiced at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and was the National Chair of the Employment Law Department. An Honourary Life Fellow of The College of Labour & Employment Lawyers, Mr. Justice Echlin was consistently referenced in Lexpert Canada's Leading Employment Lawyers as one of the Top 500 Lawyers in Canada. He has published seven books on various employment law topics.
Christine Thomlinson, is the co-founder and co-managing partner of Rubin Thomlinson LLP, a firm which provides optimal legal solutions to challenging workplace issues. Known for her high capability to think strategically, and her ability to find practical, often innovative, legal solutions for her clients, Christine is renowned for the seminal work she co-authored on employment law, For Better or For Worse: A Practical Guide to Canadian Employment Law. Written in collaboration with the late Mr. Justice Randall Scott Echlin, and currently in its third edition, the text is a prime resource for human resource professionals and students across Canada. She develops and delivers training programmes that educate human resource professionals and managers on a variety of employment law and human rights issues and is frequently retained as a neutral third party to conduct workplace investigations into allegations of harassment and other employee misconduct. With her partner, Janice Rubin, she is also the co-author of the Human Resources Guide to Workplace Investigations.
