About the Author

Eric M. Roher, M.A., LL.B., is a partner with the law firm of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and practises in the areas of employment law, labour relations and education law. He is the author of Canadian Labour Reporter Special Report: Violence in the Workplace (4th Edition), An Educator's Guide to Violence in Schools (2nd Edition), released in 2010, co-author of An Educator's Guide to the Role of the Principal (2nd Edition), released in 2008 and co-author of An Educator's Guide to Safe Schools, released in 2004. Mr. Roher is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He advises employers on a range of labour relations and employment law issues, including employment standards, termination of employment, unjust dismissal, employee discipline, human rights and workplace safety. Mr. Roher was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1987.

Simon A. Wormwell is an associate with the law firm of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Prior to that he was with the firm Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, where his work included providing advice on a number of educational law and employment law issues. Mr. Wormwell received his Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2000.
