About the Author
John P. Sanderson, Q.C., C.Med., C.Arb, is a mediator, arbitrator, educator, consultant and lawyer calledto the Bar in Ontario and British Columbia. He has acted in these various capacities across Canada and internationally, in numerous disputes involving labour, employment, insurance, commercial contracts, securities,construction, environmental, inter-governmental, professional sports, Aboriginal claims, and other matters. He is a member of various mediation and arbitration panels. He is a co-founder of Pathways Partnership and is also a senior adjudicator with the Indian Residential Schools Adjudication Secretariat. Mr. Sanderson is the author of a book on collective bargaining, entitled The Art of Collective Bargaining. He is a co-author of the 1994 edition of Innovative Dispute Resolution, The Alternative and co-author of Labour Arbitrations and All That, Fourth Edition.
Matthew R. Wilson is a Vice Chair with the Ontario Labour Relations Board. He also practices as a labour arbitrator and mediator. Prior to his appointment to the Board, Matthew practiced as a labour lawyer and regularly appeared before labour arbitrators and other tribunals. He also has extensive collective bargaining experience as the spokesperson in multiple rounds of bargaining. He has taught at the university level and is regularly invited to speak on labour relations issues. Mr. Wilson is the co-editor of Evidence and Procedure in Canadian Labour Arbitration and co-author of Labour Arbitrations and All That, Fourth Edition.
