About the Author
Alison Scott Butler, Q.C., TEP, has practised law in Nova Scotia for almost 40 years. For the past ten years, she has carried on a solo practice specialising in Wills and Estates. Earlier in her career, she was engaged as a tax litigator for Canada Revenue Agency and as a tax advisor for a law firm in Nova Scotia. She was a member of the Human Rights Commission for five years. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is on the board of Directors of Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment and Farmworks Investment Co-operative Limited. She co-authored Rogers' Canadian Law of Planning and Zoning for seven years and has authored Tax Planned Will Precedents since the inception of the 4th edition.
