About the Author
Peter Wilson, B.A., M.A., LL.B., LL.M., is a sole practitioner with more than thirty years experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer. He has considerable experience and expertise in the negotiating and drafting of complex commercial agreements, corporate governance, intellectual property law and employment law. He has been active in the organization and delivery of continuing legal education for lawyers, primarily through the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), as well as the provision of pro bono legal services to charitable and non profit organizations through Pro Bono Law Ontario. Mr. Wilson is co-author of The Corporate Counsel Guide to Employment Law, Third Edition (Canada Law Book), a contributor of corporate and commercial precedents to a leading business law publication, and part-time instructor in Law at Ryerson University. He received the OBA Linda Adlam Manning Award for Volunteerism in 2001.
Allison Taylor, B.A., M.A., MLS, LL.B., is counsel with Stringer Brisbin Humphrey. Ms. Taylor practises primarily in the area of employment law. She specializes in the drafting of employment and consulting contracts and severance packages, and in advising clients regarding employment standards, pay equity, human rights and general employment issues. Her litigation practice includes wrongful dismissals, benefits litigation and labour and other injunctions. Ms. Taylor is the co-author of The Corporate Counsel Guide to Employment Law, Third Edition and A Guide to Alternative Work Relationships (Canada Law Book).
