About the Author
Howard Simkevitz, B.A., MSPPM, LL.B., is a Senior Associate Director at Bell Canada, where he provides consulting services in the areas of privacy and cybersecurity. Howard is also an executive member of the Ontario Bar Association's Privacy Law section. He is the author of several papers and is a frequent speaker on a wide range of topics including privacy, information technology and Internet regulation.
Avner Levin, BSc, LL.B., LL.M., S.J.D., is the Director of Ryerson University's Law Research Centre as well as its Privacy and Cyber Crime Institute. Dr. Levin researches privacy and its protection across sectors and jurisdictions. His work on workplace privacy, privacy online and other topics has been funded by the Privacy Commissioner of Canada's Contributions Program. He is the author of several papers on workplace privacy and a frequent media commentator on privacy related issues.
